Rhatany

Rhatany belongs to the genus Krameria, the only genus in the Krameriaceae family. It’s a humble branched shrub, and grows up to 30 cm in height. The flowers grow in a cluster and are asymmetric. The fruit is spherical and covered with rigid, hooked spines. It’s native to the Bolivian and Peruvian Andes, where it finds its ideal habitat between 900 and 3000 meters above sea level. Rhatany extract promotes throat health.
