Magnolias and their beneficial properties
Magnolia (Magnolia L.) refers to a group of plants from the Magnoliaceae family. It includes over 80 species that are native to North America, Central America, and Asia.
The name was coined in honor of Pierre Magnol, he was both a physician and botanist who introduced the notion that plants could be classified into families.
Its active substances are magnolol and honokiol, which are mainly contained within the plant’s bark. Magnolia is known to stimulate a general sense of relaxation, treat stress and reduce anxiety.
