Inositol
Inositol is a carbocyclic polyol whose most important form in nature is myo-inositol. It is neither a sugar nor a vitamin because it can be synthesized by the body. It looks like a low palpability powder, snow white in colour, odorless, and slightly sweet in taste. Inositol is found in many foods such as cereals, nuts, fruits, especially melons and oranges.
