Grindelia

Grindelia (Grindelia robusta) is a perennial herbaceous plant that belongs to the Steracee family and is a native of California’s and Northern Mexico’s swampy regions. It tends to look like a tall shrub with yellow flowers that’s about 50-60 cm tall. It’s known for its abundant resinous rubbery secretions which covers the tops before flowering. Both the flowers and the grass are used in herbal medicine. Grindelia is balsamic and soothing for the oropharyngeal mucosa, helps improve voice tone and contributes to upper respiratory tract function.
