Carboxymethyl Chitosan
Carboxymethyl chitosan is a substance found in the exoskeleton of crustaceans. Recent studies have shown that its use can prevent caries and periodontal disease: in addition to its proven antimicrobial traits, it also has the ability to neutralize lactic acid by buffering the pH balance of the mouth and bringing it to values close to the neutral levels.
