Policosanol
Policosanol is a mixture of long chain linear aliphatic alcohols (tetracosanol, hexacosanol, octacosanol, etc.). They are isolated from the waxy substances of some plants: rice, sugar cane, potatoes, red rice and green tea are particularly rich in policosanol.
